Free Motion Raw Edge Collage

Have you ever wanted to adorn your favorite jeans or sweatshirt with raw edge collage? Well, here's your chance!

Just bring your favorite clothing: tops and jeans, as well as a large assortment of “fussy” cut fabrics.   In this hands-on class, Lyn will show you how to assemble these cuts on your clothing as well as how to construct and free motion your design.

Students must have completed New Sewing Machine Owners Class or have a basic understanding/mastery of their machine to take this class.  You will need to bring/purchase a quilting or darning foot and be able to drop your feed dogs on your machine (check your manual or stop by the shop if you aren't sure!)

Please arrive 30 min prior to class start time to setup yourself, your machine and purchase any supplies at a 20% discount.

Please bring your own:

- Sewing Machine (be able to drop your feed dogs on your machine (check your manual or stop by the shop if you aren't sure!).  You can rent a machine from us; call the shop for availability.
- a wide variety of thematic fabric and/or cut images with a 1/16" border or none if it's not possible.  No background fabric is necessary.
- scissors (we recommend Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors)
- glue stick
- thread
- sewing needles appropriate for your garment.
- 1/4 yard fabric for edge of garment/creation (gives you a field to start to work on)

Additional supplies can be purchased at a 20% discount.

Best to pre-cut the fabric images you want to collage, so you can focus on assembly during class.

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing,  Sorry, no exceptions.
