Intermediate Quilting: Walk on the Beach Quilt

Are you a beach lover? Do you take long walks on the beach? You will LOVE this new quilt design, a combination of piecing & option for appliqué. Join Lyn to utilize & refine your quilting skills to make this fabulous creation! In this class you will utilize strip piecing and optional applique to make the Walk on the Beach quilt! Perfect for ocean & sky-inspired batiks, class fee includes kit with fabulous Hoffman batiks to make a finished 65" x 67" quilt face & binding.
Please bring your own:
- Sewing machine & supplies to cut, piece & sew (rotary, pins, rulers) and good quality thread
-glue stick, template plastic and medium sized scissors
Please bring a machine to class that has been recently serviced or is in good working order. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to trouble-shoot or repair machines during class. If we determine your machine is not working or cannot be used in class, we will either excuse you or offer you one of our machine rentals.
Minimum Class Size: There must be at least two students signed up for the class for it to proceed. We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class. This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception.
You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend. Instructor Bio: | Lyn Peare Sandberg is a local quilter, in fabric retail and member of PVQA for forty years. She's been quilting since she was 8yrs old, taught by her hillbilly aunts, piecing hand and machine quilting. Her quilts have been showcased at national shows, placed in awards and in the AQS museum in Paducah, Kentucky. She has been teaching, loving, dreaming, quilting for as long as she can remember. |
