Serger Fingerless Gloves/Mittens

Have sweaters that don’t fit anymore or have holes! Don’t throw them out - upcycle them to make fingerless gloves! Learn yet another way to use your serger to make something stylish while doing your part to upcycle.   These fingerless gloves are the perfect thing when you want to keep your hands warm, but don’t want the bulk of a full coverage mitten or glove.   



These gloves are so functional and make great gifts! Sergers are ideal for sweater fabric, and using decorative threads make theme even prettier! You will learn how to upcycle sweaters and also ideal settings techniques using your serger.  

Please bring your own:

• Good quality serger thread (we recommend different colors to really see how your serger works)
• 2 or 3 sweaters you want to upcycle!  

Students must have a good working knowledge of their serger or have taken the Mastering Your Serger class.  

Please bring a machine to class that has been recently serviced or is in good working order.  Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to trouble-shoot or repair sergers during class.  If we determine your machine is not working or cannot be used in class, we will either excuse you or offer you one of our machine rentals.  

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there is less than two students signed up for the class.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.    

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
