Beginning Sewing Scalloped Fabric Basket
Learn the basics of sewing while constructing a chic & functional scalloped fabric basket. This basket will look as good at works. In this class you will make this fabric basket that you will finish & take home to show-off while you learn how to sew! You will mainly use a straight stitch, but also learn the basics of cornering & mitering as well as the use of different interfacings/fusibles for craft & accessories creation. This class is tailored to building skills on general and accessories/craft sewing.
Students must have completed New Sewing Machine Owners Class or have a basic understanding/mastery of their machine to take this class.
Please arrive 15 min prior to class start time to setup yourself, your machine and purchase your kit or any supplies at 15% discount.
Please bring your own:
- Sewing Machine (or rent one from us for $35).- Basic sewing tools: scissors, pins, seam ripper, good quality thread and 80/12 sewing machine needles etc.)
- Students will have their choice of linen or cotton canvas, and will be provided interfacing & pattern as part of their class fee.
Minimum Class Size: There must be at least two students signed up for the class for it to proceed. We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.
You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend. We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid!
