Beginning Sewing - Apron & Hot Mitt

Learn the basics of sewing while constructing an adorable and functional apron.  In this class you will make an apron that you will finish & take home to show-off while you learn how to sew!  You will mainly use a straight stitch, but also learn the basics of using the different stitches on your sewing machine, as well as construction techniques including sewing on curves and attaching straps.  This class is tailored to building skills on general and garment sewing.  We will teach you about interfacings & the use of Insul-brite to withstand heat.  

You will get to chose from our amazing collection of apron kits, including the newest collection of Holiday & Forage apron panels, many include hot mitts!




Students must have completed New Sewing Machine Owners Class or have a basic understanding/mastery of their machine to take this class. 

Please arrive 15 min prior to class start time to setup yourself, your machine and purchase your kit.

Minimum Class Size:  There must be at least two students signed up for the class for it to proceed.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is intended for students 18 years or older, or with parental supervision.

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid!
