Beginning Garment Sewing - Ogden Tank Top Spring Session

Join Clare to construct this figure flattering tank top while learning basic garment construction techniques like pattern cutting & construction prep!

Ogden Tank Top is the perfect strappy top to reach for when you are wanting comfort, ease and style under those winter jackets or night's out. It's also perfect for layering under a t-shirt  The low front and back V-necklines and narrow straps were designed to cover bra straps and optional bra keeper instructions are included to hide and secure your bra straps within the garment for that extra couture detail.


First part of class will focus on pattern cutting and construction preparation.  Second part of class will focus on dress construction, including seams & hems and fitting.  MUST BRING PRE-WASHED FABRIC to class to participate in cutting and hands-on preparation techniques.  Please visit the store or go online to purchase fabric and pattern at a 15% discount.  


Minimum Class Size:  There must be at least two people signed up for the class for it to proceed.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough people and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception. 

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.

Purchase fabric, required pattern and necessary supplies at the shop for a 15% discount (mention registration).  All students must bring their own machine, bring or purchase their own fabric & supplies.  Required supplies include fusible interfacing, rotary/scissors, pins or clips, marker or chalk, good quality thread (we recommend Metrosene poly).  We also recommend an adjustable seam guide for bottom hem & seams.
