Beginning Quilting: Paper Piecing New York Beauty Pillow Sham

Ever wanted to try Paper Piecing?  Join Sara for a Saturday workshop to learn this technique, whereby you use paper as a guide to create designs for quilts, bags, cushions, and clothing. You will use a pattern to draw a design on paper, place fabric patches on top, and then sew the fabric in place.  You will learn the technique and make a gorgeous pillow top (large enough to fit a 16” x 16” pillow).

For class you will need to purchase or bring:

Basic sewing tools:  scissors, pins, seam ripper, good quality thread and 70/10 sewing machine needles etc.)
- Students also need to bring or rent a machine, as well as sewing supplies (rotary/scissors, pins, thread, etc.)

All fabric & supplies can be purchased at a 15% discount.  Sara will make recommendations on needed supplies & fabrics to make your cherished memory quilt.

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there is less than two students signed up.    We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception.

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
