Mastering your Serger Winter Session

Master your serger!  Learn from the pros - how to thread, operate and apply stitches on your serger!  This is an in depth course on all things serging in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment!  This class is part lecture, part hands-on learning for threading and making a serger stitch book to make & optimize the four basic serger stitches!  

Bring your serger, good quality thread, extra needles, and manual.  We provide a kit! This class is complimentary for customers who have purchased their serger machines from us - please call or signup with deposit online (deposit will be reimbursed or applied to store purchase of notions & fabrics at time of class).  

This is a 3 hour in-depth workshop, and our goal is for you to master your machine! Threading, operation & good understanding of the sergers four basic stitches!  

Please bring your own:

• Serger
• Good quality serger thread (we recommend different colors to really see how your serger works)
• Machine accessories
• Power cord
• Foot control
• Instruction Manual 
• Scissors & Tweezers

Please arrive 15 min prior to class start time to setup yourself, your machine and purchase any supplies at a 15% discount.  Students must also provide what type of serger machine they will be sewing on in the class prior to class so we can best support your needs! (You can send an email to the shop at info@santacruzvacnsew.com or submit it at the time of order.).  There is an additional $50 surcharge for non air threaded (older) machines that require additional support threading.

Please bring a machine to class that has been recently serviced or is in good working order.  Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to trouble-shoot or repair machines during class.  If we determine your machine is not working or cannot be used in class, we will either refund/reschedule your class or offer you one of our machine rentals for an additional $35/class. 

Minimum Class Size:  There must be at least two students signed up for the class for it to proceed.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.   This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception. 

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
