Young Sewing Enthusiast (10 - 18 years of age)

Kids & Youth, 10 -18 yrs will learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine & various sewing techniques while making their own sewing projects. 

In March, we will be making lunch bags adorned with St Patty’s Day shamrocks.  Students will learn bag making techniques and how to applique!



In April, we will be making fat quarter twirl skirts OR board shorts.  Students will learn garment construction techniques.  




In May, we will be making Mother’s Day gifts:  Fabric flowers in a flower basket.  Students will learn craft making techniques like plushies, working with interfacing and stiffeners to make baskets/bags.

Price includes class fee and fabric/notions to make projects.  We make a different project each month, inspiring new ideas and techniques!  Students must use shop provided machine. In this case, they will learn on their machine they purchased from us. 

Minimum Class Size:  There must be at least two students signed up for the class for it to proceed.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.   

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
