Young Sewing Enthusiast Sewing Camp (10 - 13 yrs)
Want to inspire a next generation of sewists ages 10 to 13? Send your youth to our Summer Sewing Camp! Over this week long camp, young sewists will learn how to sew, make fun & useful projects and explore the world of different types of sewing machines. Each day is a three-hour session, including a break & sewing machine demonstration, and will focus on a different project (that highlights different sewing skills). Planned projects include (subject to modifications as we finalize planning):
Monday -Swirl skirt or easy shorts
Tuesday - Applique sweatshirt/jacket
Wednesday/Thursday - Backpack (Two day project)
Friday - T-Shirt
Parents are welcome to join us on the last day of camp for an open house and fashion show!
Camp goers will learn how to sew seams and curves, craft, quilt and garment making techniques & tools, how to measure and cut out a pattern, as well as garment construction techniques!
Camp fee includes sewing machine rental and supplies (notions, fabric, patterns). Summer Special: A portion of camp fee can be applied for a new sewing machine purchase!
