Beginning Quilting - Bali Hai Placemat

Learn the basics of quilting of binding & quilting while constructing these simple but colorful placemats!  Learn the quilt-as-you-go technique how to make the perfect binding!  

Chose from our exclusive selection of Bali Hai placemats kits and learn from our expert quilt maker staff while making these fun placemats! We will highlight fun & great looking quilting & binding techniques!  You will sew and have fun!  These placemats are simple but functional! Learn some techniques & features of your machine applied to construction techniques for quilting projects.

Note students using one of their complimentary classes with sewing machine purchase will need to purchase a placemat kit at a 15% discount.  

Students must have completed New User/Get to Know Your Sewing Machine or have a basic understanding/mastery of their machine to take this class.  

Please bring your own:

- Sewing Machine (or rent from us for $35).
- Basic sewing tools:  rotary, scissors, pins, seam ripper and new 80/12 sewing needles
- Additional supplies can be purchased at a 15% discount.

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel classes with less than two students signed up for the class.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
