Intermediate Quilting - A Study of Curves: the Drip Quilt

Been quilting for a little while and want to take on circles? Now is the time to get around to it! We will be making the Drip (TaraLee Quiltery) modern circular piecing design as the vehicle to learn piecing curves.

Let’s get in and around these curvy beauties together, under the guidance of experienced quilter Emy Clemence. Learn three different curve techniques using pins/clips & adhesives to carry forward on your round-about journey!

At the conclusion of class, you can expect to have sewn a quilt top face of 30” x 30” (wall hanging).  We will pick fabrics together with Em’s help and guidance from the instructor! You’ll receive 15% off on all the supplies you’ll need for class (beyond the fabric & pattern which is included in the class fee).

What you’ll need:

  • Sewing machine or rent one for $35
  • Fabrics (meet with Em @ shop Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday ahead of class to select your fabrics included as part of class fee)
  • Rotary cutter (28mm recommended, 45mm also works)
  • Fabric scissors
  • Pins, clips, or temporary adhesive tape/spray
  • Good quality thread, 50 wt

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there are less than two people signed up.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough people and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception.

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
