Garment Finishing Workshop

Are you “stuck" on finishing a garment or craft creation? Do you need some assistance on a technique or creative inspiration to finish? Want to know what to do next with your design or pattern? In this lecture/workshop, you can learn techniques on how to do garment construction with patterns. Em and staff will teach you how and you can use our facility & expertise to finish the projects you bring in. We will cover a range of topics, techniques and skills based on your project creation (setting sleeves, collars, making darts/pleats/tucks, finishing seams, making buttonholes & closures, etc.)
In the class you will need to bring your machine, project, supplies (rotary/scissors, needles & pins, new sewing needles (size & type of which should be determined based on your garment /craft creation fabric). You can purchase supplies at a 15% discount.
Students must have completed New Users/ Get to Know Your Sewing Machine Class (or have a basic understanding/mastery of their machine to take this class), as well as basic understanding of reading & sewing with a pattern (All About Patterns is a great class to learn!). Students need to bring their own project for class!
Minimum Class Size: We reserve the right to cancel class if there are less than two students signed up for the class. We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class. This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception.
You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend. We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.
