Beginning Sewing Home Decor: Curtains!

Have you always wanted to make the Perfect Curtain in your house?  Want to learn different techniques to make simple curtain styles like rod pocket or tab curtain or clip, and professional looking hems?  We will make these curtains, as either a panel or cafe style curtains.  You bring the window dimensions and we can help you design - determine fabric requirements and techniques to construct any of these simple curtain techniques for top drapery rod, and bottom/side hems.  We have a nice selection of Canvas or bring your own drapery fabric.  



In the class you will need to bring your window (or curtain dimensions), machine, supplies (rotary/scissors, pins or clips, new sewing needles for your curtain fabric type).  Bring your own fabric or purchase one of our batiks or canvas. You can purchase supplies at a 15% discount.

Students must have completed New Users/ Get to Know Your Sewing Machine Class or have a basic understanding/mastery of their machine to take this class. Students need to bring their own project  (window or curtain dimensions) for class!

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there are less than two students signed up for the class.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception. 

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
