Get to Know Your Sewing Machine

Join one of our expert instructors to learn the power of your machine and pick up a few techniques along the way. You will get an extensive overview and hands-on application of how to operate your machine, including threading, winding & loading a bobbin, changing a needle, stitch selection/adjustment using the different feet with your machine.  We will also teach you about sewing tools & techniques that allow you to get the most out of your machine - like thread, needles, interfacing and recommended notions.  To learn all about the different capabilities your machine has, you will be making a stitch book in this class.  

This class is available for new student owners of sewing machines purchased from Santa Cruz Vac & Sew and for owners who want to bring in their own machine.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception. 

This class is intended for all general purpose sewing machines; Premium High-end Sewing Machines, Machine Embroidery or Serger machines are supported in a different class.  

Students must bring their own machine, accessories, supplies and manual to class, along with good quality thread (Mettler, Gutterman or Aurufil).  

All students must bring their own machine & manual.  A small kit will be provided to all attendees to make a stitch book. 

You may cancel or reschedule class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee.  As a courtesy, we provide one reschedule of class.; after which you must re-enroll We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid!   All cancellations must be called in or received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
