Beginning Crafting/Sewing - Bunting Banner

Make a festive, personalized banner to celebrated those special occasions!  This fun & easy project makes those celebrations that much more special!  We make the banner by sewing individual “flags” hung together on a strip of fabric.  You chose your journey by using cut-out letter templates applied to each flag.  We recommend using a 10” layer cake to create a colorful display so our kit includes your choice of ours in the shop, pattern/template, 2 yards DecorBond interfacing, 3 yards of Quilters Bias tape, and enough Steam-A-Seam to make your letter applique.  

In addition to making the bunting you will learn/perfect your applique skills including fussy cutting, using fusible adhesives and applique stitching with your machine.  This is a two session class with the first class focusing on Layer Cake selection, applique letter cutting & application and the second class focusing on applique stitching and banner construction.  Celebrate birthdays, baby showers and holidays in style! 

The bunting looks amazing when completed and once you learn how to make, you will want to do them every occasion.  This is a confident beginner project and students can expect to finish the project in class by the 2nd session (with completed homework between sessions).

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there is less than two students signed up for the class.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough students and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception. 

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid!
