Intermediate Quilting - Gathering Wildflowers

Want to perfect your more advanced quilting techniques? Now is the time to get around to it! We will be making the Gathering Wildflowers quilt to make this gorgeous quilt for Spring!  Gathering Wildflowers uses a large width of fabric prints as a colorful accent to sweet floral quilt blocks.  We will be using traditional patchwork piecing using half square triangles, flying geese and "stitch and flip" corners.  Let’s get in and perfect these techniques, under the guidance of experienced quilter Emy Clemence.

At the conclusion of class, you can expect to have sewn a quilt top face of 53-3/4" x 57-1/2".  Your class fee will include a kit made from the gorgeous Moda Blooms fabric, as well as gorgeous coordinating fabrics that Em has chosen for the Gathering Wildflowers kit. You’ll receive 15% off on all the supplies you’ll need for class (beyond the fabric & pattern which is included in the class fee).

What you’ll need:

  • Sewing machine or rent one for $35
  • Rotary cutter (28mm recommended, 45mm also works)
  • Fabric scissors
  • Pins, clips, or temporary adhesive tape/spray
  • Good quality thread, 50 wt

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there are less than two people signed up.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough people and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  This class is for intended for 18 years or older; please contact the shop if you'd like an exception.
