Beginning Crafting/Sewing:Yoga Mat Bag

Tired of lugging your yoga mat to class?  Make your own stylish & functional bag in this class! Learn how to sew bags with this fun & easy de-sign.  You will make a yoga mat bag tote using an exclusive design from Santa Cruz Vac & Sew! In this class you will learn how to sew with heavier canvas fabrics, how to sew around curves and techniques/best practices on how to sew strapping.  Chose from a wide selection of canvas and linen mochi & strappings to make your bag. Have it your way:  Personalize with monogramming or a functional pocket!  Sew much fun to make and useful for tote those mats! You will be the hit of your yoga class!   




Students need to bring their own machine, 80/12 machine needles, 50 wt polyester thread, scissors/rotary, pins or clips.  We provide the pattern and your choice of canvas, cording & strapping. 

Minimum Class Size:  We reserve the right to cancel class if there are less than 2 students signed up.  We will let you know 24 hours in advance if we do not have enough people and will give you an opportunity to sign up for an alternative class.  

You may cancel class up to 24 hrs in advance of your class start time; after which you will forfeit your class fee unless we can fill your spot from the waiting list, or you can send a friend.  We appreciate your understanding on this - as a small business, we are fortunate enough to have only the best instructors and they need to be paid  All cancellations must be received in writing, info@santacruzvacnsew.com.  Sorry, no exceptions.
